Advanced Ergonomics - Tools For Practical Application

Based on numerous requests from our BCPE Exam Prep course attendees, emails, and phone calls Ergo-Online, LLC is now offering Advanced Ergonomics - Tools for Practical Application. We have put together a hands on application course designed to provide the practical knowledge and hands on application needed by those individuals providing ergonomic services in the real world. This is not a beginners course.

Objectives

  • The participants will be able to list the important reasons why objective research does exist to support ergonomic evaluation and intervention for MSDs.
  • The participants will demonstrate their understanding of the appropriate use of and application of risk/physical demand evaluation tools for quantitative measurement in ergonomics.
  • The participants will be able to list five Ergonomic Measurements tools for persons with MSDs
  • Participants will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of tools, evaluation techniques and application to specific industrial settings through scenario based group learning and presentations.


Measurement and documentation tools that will be covered in this course will include:


  • Moore-Garg Scale
    RULA/REBA
    NIOSH Lifting Equation
    Snook tables
    Bloswick’s LBCF and Shoulder Moment Equations
  • Numerous checklists and risk evaluation tools

Class size will be limited to 20 participants providing a 1:6 teaching ratio to ensure your money is well spent and you receive value for your time in attendance.

Course Credit

As this course is currently planned for early 2007 we are currently in the process of submitting for the following organizations for CEU approval status. TOTA, RESNA, ABIH.

All attendees completing the course will receive a Certificate of Completion to be used along with course objectives to obtain CEUs from additional professional organizations.
